This is an old revision of the document!

Transplanting composted seedlings

I know those seedlings!

Seedlings from compostI mixed a years (or more) compost into one raised bed, which I intended to sow corn seeds. The seedlings thatI didn't remember composting any other types of squash, so I must have been mistaken - see the following!

This is what I intended!

This is what many of them were!A few squash grew into this , which is what I expected. They are like Gill's Golden Pippen, which is our favorite winter squash, a perfect substitute for a larger acorn squash. I had received fresh seeds for this year, but with (apparently) so many seedlings, I thought I would simply save the seeds and transplant the seedlings!

This is what I got!

This is what I though they would be!Many grew up to look liked these. I haven't been able to find a photo that identifies the type of squash! Possibly some type of yellow scallop variety?
