The plants at both gardens all had a healthy, vibrant and rich appearance this year.
The luxurious look might have been related to any or all of these factors:
- Remineralization of the soil
- A good start in the greenhouse with heat mats and grow lights
- More organic matter in the soil from the crimson clover cover crop
- More nitrogen from the cover crop
