Designed and implemented corporate intranet-based (Starwave/Internet Ventures/ABCNEWS.com) training system to train journalists to use the company's proprietary HTML-authoring tool. Designed online help and training for affiliate publishing and MoneyScope product.

Computer-based Training—Seafirst Bank Multimedia Productions

Trained team in the unique features of CD-interactive technology, resulting in design changes that resulted in a "doable" project that met design criteria as closely as possible. Projected return on investment was $280,000 per year by reducing on-site training and travel expenses, resulting in projected payback of the projects costs in less than three years for the five-year life of the project.

Creatively addressed differences between project requirements and limitations of the authoring software while managing a politically sensitive situation.

Reengineered storyboards for Teller Training content, adapting it to CD-i format, resulting in a realistic project for that medium. Negotiated changes in authoring software to allow us to author the title according to the design criteria.

Created a modular structure for the title (essentially, a template) that allowed it to be modified and expanded for other projects, thus shortening the development time for the remaining two modules.

Designed student registration, tracking and communications module, and worked with its programmers to debug and implement. These features could not be incorporated into the authoring tool and were necessary to meet the project's design criteria. They allowed the CD-i player to dial up a central server to transmit students' scores for analysis of the student's progress, thus allowing the instructor to plan classroom training.

Multimedia and Web Programming—Web site design and programming (personal contracting)

Mastered HTML, including tables, frames, forms; use of CGI scripts, Java applets and JavaScript; site analysis and design. Used Illustrator, Photoshop, BBEdit, HomeSite, Fetch, SSH and Telnet.
